Artwork specifications

If you want to submit a design, please take the following into account:

FILE:

It is really important to send us a closed PDF or TIFF file.

PDF

  • PDF 1.6 or higher
  • not protected by a password
  • includes a Trim Box

TIFF

  • flattened to 1 layer and saved with LZW-compression

  • resolution chosen according to the size of the print (see table below).

It is also possible to send us a .jpg or .png file. In this case, the execution of the assignment may require additional graphic work. This can extend the production process and affect the price you will have to pay.

Due to the possible errors, we cannot accept open files such as e.g. ai, cdr, indd, psd etc. for the execution of orders.

Do not use overprint in the files.

Prepare each print in a separate file or on a separate page of a multi-page PDF file.

Fonts:

Replace the fonts in letter outlines and embed the graphic elements in the document.

Color use:

In UV/Solvent print you will get a saturated black color by using the color components C50 M50 Y50 K100.

In sublimation printing (on textiles) always use the components C0 M0 Y0 K100 for the black color.

Resolution and scaling:

Prepare the file in the CMYK 8-bit color system at a scale of 1:1 or 1:10.
(
Please note that if you prepare the file on a scale of 1:10, the resolution must be multiplied by the same factor. Example: resolution at 1:1 is 72 ppi then the resolution at 1:10 is 720 ppi)

For the resolution, also known as ppi (pixel per inch), you must meet the following values.

Groote van de print Resolutie advies Minimale resolutie
< 0,5 m2 300 dpi 200 dpi
0,5-1 m2 200 dpi 150 dpi
1-2 m2 150 dpi 72 dpi
5-25 m2 80 dpi 72 dpi
> 100 m2 72 dpi 50 dpi
> 200 m2 50 dpi
>1000m2 50 dpi

Margins and bleed:

Most of the artwork does not have to contain a bleed, but take into account a 5 cm safe area for the important elements (logos, inscriptions, etc.). In case of finishing the print with a tunnel, keep a safe zone of “5 cm + flat dimension of the tunnel”. If you order a print on a textile fabric, click here.

There are 2 other exceptions:
For contour cutting we recommend a bleed of 5mm
- With canvas you should use 6 cm bleed per side. Taking into account that important elements do not fall within this 6 cm.

If the bleed is not included in the file, we will add it if necessary by mirroring the image.

Important!!

Templates:

If we have a template available, please use this template. Do not resize the template or delete the contour line layer (CutContour) .

Material width:

Prints of which the short side exceeds the material width will be divided by us. If you want to make the division yourself, we cannot guarantee that the parts will fit together properly.
